Home visits
For registered patients who are elderly, less mobile or have additional support needs, we can come to you. We also help local care homes look after their residents' teeth and dentures.
Additional support needs
If a patient finds dental visits difficult because of a learning disability, autism, dementia or another condition, tell us when you book. We can plan a quieter time and a longer appointment. Dr Kalumba Simumba has a clinical interest in special needs dentistry, and our sister practice, Bearsden Dental Care, has further experience in special care and provides sedation.
Where an adult can't consent to treatment themselves, we involve their guardian, attorney or family, following the Adults with Incapacity (Scotland) Act 2000.
NHS or private?
Special care and home visits are part of our NHS service for registered patients. Your dentist will always explain the options and give you a written estimate before treatment starts. How NHS charges and private fees work.
To confirm: Please confirm home visits from Boclair, and tell us about toilet facilities and any hearing loop, so we can describe them.
