Complaints procedure
We want to hear if something hasn't gone right, so we can put it right.
To confirm: Draft based on the NHS Scotland Model Complaints Handling Procedure. Please send your practice complaints policy so this matches it, including who handles complaints and the timescales you work to.
Talk to us first
Most concerns can be sorted out quickly. Speak to any member of the team, call 0141 942 9891 or email info@boclairdentalcare.com. Our practice manager, Danielle Cook, looks after complaints for Boclair Dental Care.
What happens next
- Early resolution: we aim to resolve simple concerns within 5 working days.
- Investigation: if your complaint needs looking into in more detail, we'll acknowledge it within 3 working days and aim to give you a full response within 20 working days.
If you're not satisfied
- NHS treatment: you can ask the Scottish Public Services Ombudsman to look at your complaint once you've had our final response. The Patient Advice and Support Service (PASS), through Citizens Advice Scotland, can help you make a complaint.
- Private treatment: you can contact the Dental Complaints Service.
- Concerns about a dental professional's fitness to practise can be raised with the General Dental Council.
