Drew has owned Bearsden Dental Care since 2010 and Boclair Dental Care since 2016. His special interest is caring for anxious patients, and he holds a postgraduate certificate in dental sedation and pain management from UCL.

Dr Clare Bannatyne

Dentist

Clare has around twenty years' experience in general dental practice. She enjoys every part of general dentistry, especially putting patients at ease during treatment.

She has undertaken further study in facial aesthetics, and holds a postgraduate qualification in healthcare law and ethics from the University of Dundee.

Dr Louise Shearin

Dentist

Louise has a special interest in restorative dentistry: repairing, rebuilding and replacing teeth. She holds membership by examination of the Joint Dental Faculties at the Royal College of Surgeons of England (MJDF), and attends regular courses in restorative work.

She has recently completed programmes of study in dental implantology and cosmetic tooth alignment.

Louise enjoys cooking, snowboarding and time with friends. In 2012 she climbed Kilimanjaro for charity.

Dr Kalumba Simumba

Dentist

Kalumba has a clinical interest in special needs and children's dentistry, and is the practices' lead for clinical audit.

Kalumba grew up locally. He plays football and is a keen runner.

Dorota (Dee) Kulesza

Dental Hygienist

Dee works closely with the dentists to treat and prevent gum disease. She's particularly interested in helping patients understand their oral health and how to look after it at home, and takes care to make every appointment feel relaxed.

To confirm: Dee's register entry shows registration under s36C of the Dentists Act (2011). Please confirm the qualification and country to show (GDC guidance), and her days at each practice.

Danielle Cook

Practice Manager

Danielle has twenty years' experience as a dental nurse and manages the day-to-day running of both practices. She has completed the ILM Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management, and holds Affiliateship of the City & Guilds of London Institute (AfCGI).

To confirm: GDC number 169349 is registered to "Danielle Reilly". Is Cook a married name? Patients checking the register will see Reilly, so we suggest "Danielle Cook (registered as Danielle Reilly)" or updating the register.

Chloe McKelvie

Deputy Practice Manager and Dental Nurse

Chloe qualified as a dental nurse in 2013 after training with us at Bearsden, and is now Deputy Practice Manager for both practices. She has completed training in Childsmile and in inhalation and intravenous sedation, and is working towards her dental radiography qualification.

To confirm: Chloe is "Sedation Nurse" on the Bearsden site and "Dental Nurse" on the Boclair site. Which title is right at each?

Pamela

Head Dental Nurse

Pamela qualified in 2013. As well as working in surgery, she takes a senior role at reception and is the practices' lead for decontamination. She has completed training in inhalation and intravenous sedation.

To confirm: Surname to publish? Which dentists does Pamela work with now (the Bearsden site says Graeme, the Boclair site says Louise and Clare)?

Holly

Senior Dental Nurse

Holly trained with us at both practices and qualified in 2022. She works in surgery alongside Drew, and takes a senior role across both sites, helping at reception and with the day-to-day running of the practices.

Ciara is training for her dental nursing qualification with us, and works in surgery alongside Dr Clare Bannatyne and Dr Louise Shearin.
